Chartwell Group is excited to announce our new Vice President of Office Leasing, Mr. Donald E. Lydon. Mr. Lydon spent the previous 15 years as Vice President of Commercial Properties for the Zaremba Management Company, where he directed the firm’s Commercial Properties Division. During his tenure at Zaremba, Mr. Lydon was responsible for development, construction, leasing and management of the firm’s office and industrial portfolio and successfully developed over 300,000 SF of office and office flex property as well as directing and implementing the leasing and management and day-to-day operations of the firm’s commercial portfolio.

        Prior to joining Zaremba, Mr. Lydon spent 5 years in the Office Leasing Division at the Ostendorf-Morris Company. While at OM, Mr. Lydon forged his relationship with the founding Chartwell Group members and has developed a working relationship with the firm over the years. Mr. Lydon represented several suburban office parks while at OM including Great Northern Corporate Center, Atrium Office Park and Westpoint Corporate Center. He was also a primary member of the OM team responsible for the disposition of over $10M of bank-owned properties for the Ameritrust/Key Bank portfolio. In addition, he has completed over 270 lease and sale transactions with major clients including; Motorola, Delta Airlines, Lever Brothers, Glidden Paints, Wachovia Securities and Liberty Mutual Insurance.

        Mr. Lydon earned his Broker License in 1994 and has been involved in several transactions from both a Tenant/Buyer Representative and as a landlords agent. Most recently, Mr. Lydon represented Quadax, Inc. one of the nation’s largest medical billing companies on the acquisition and redevelopment of a 100,000 SF corporate headquarters facility in Middleburg Heights, Ohio and Wellington Technologies, the largest third-party Hewlett Packard maintenance company with their lease and redevelopment of a 20,000 SF operations center in Westlake, Ohio.

       Don is a graduate of St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Hotel-Restaurant Administration from Florida State University. Mr. Lydon was Student President of the Hotel School and active in the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
